Kenwood KRA-26M3 VHF Antenna
VHF helical antenna, 6 ¾ inch (165 mm) long. Successor of KRA-16.
This type of antenna consists of a long, thin metal rod, or "whip", that is wound with a helix of wire along its length. The helix acts as a loading coil, increasing the electrical length of the antenna and improving its performance at the lower end of the VHF range.
