The KPT-60 can only access the pre-stored memory bank frequencies and
coded squelch tones (QT/DQT) that have been either Kenwood factory
preprogrammed
or Kenwood dealer pre-programmed. The KPT-60 DOES NOT replace
the KPG-22/KPG-48D programming cable/software. Only the KPG-22/KPG-48D
has full radio frequency and parameter programming capability for ProTalk™
(sets
memory banks to any frequency in the radios band range; re-programs
coded
squelch tables for any QT/DQT; sets T-O-T, squelch, beep tone, battery
save,
busy channel lockout, wide/narrow bandwidth and monitor function).
