Telewave Model 44L1/L1P RF Wattmeter
The Telewave Model 44L1 (and Model L1P) RF Wattmeter measures forward and reflected RF power in a coaxial transmission line under any load conditions without the need for elements, inserts, or bandswitching. It has wide band capability and a 20 microamp taut-band meter movement shock mounted in a rugged, diecast housing. The Model 44L1 includes an RF sampling port for frequency measurement, signal injection, or spectral analysis, with an output 40 dB below the total transmission line level. It's ideal for mobile radio installation in aircraft or vehicles, as well as base stations.
The Model 44L1/L1P covers 2-200 MHz with a power range of 1-500 Watts. Its taut-band meter movement can be turned off for protection when not in use, and it has a leather carrying strap for easy portability. The RF sample port on Model L1P allows injection of a signal into the device under test or can be used for spectrum analysis and frequency measurements without affecting the meter's operation. The unit uses precision directional detectors to sample forward and reverse CW power flow and has five power scales. Its stability and ability to switch between power ranges to check calibration eliminate the need for a secondary standard.
