Telewave THRP Series High Performance Repeater Panels

The Telewave High-Performance Repeater Panel is designed to enhance the sensitivity and selectivity of a repeater receiver, extending mobile and portable coverage while providing superior intermodulation protection for the transmitter.

This panel features a dual isolator with a 50-watt termination on the second stage output, complemented by a low-pass filter to safeguard against transmitter intermodulation (IM). Together, they deliver over 60 dB of IM protection across a ±5 MHz bandwidth and attenuate the transmitter's second harmonic by more than 50 dB.

At the heart of the system is a duplexer that incorporates four 4-inch cavities in a pass/reject configuration, achieving an impressive 110 dB isolation with only 1.8 dB insertion loss. For additional filtering, the receiver side connects to two 8-inch high-Q bandpass cavities, forming a narrow passband preselector.

The preselector output is fed into one of two available low-noise preamplifiers. The standard configuration includes a TLA series low-noise bipolar preamp, ideal for environments prone to lightning or high ambient signal levels. For sites with minimal RF noise, an optional TGA series preamp featuring a PHEMT amplifier is available, offering enhanced sensitivity.

The entire THRP system is mounted on a compact 14” x 19” panel, fully tuned and ready for installation. By integrating all components into a single unit, the panel reduces costs compared to purchasing each item separately while conserving valuable rack space.
