Item Details:
Telewave TWNC-0412-1 Notch Cavity Filter
The TWNC-0412-1 is a 12" diameter, ¼-wavelength notch cavity filter with an adjustable coupling loop that rejects a narrow band of frequencies. Notch cavities have low loss outside of the notch band and are often used with pass cavities in complex filtering designs. Telewave can also customize the notch response to move it close to a pass frequency without negatively affecting the pass response.
The
Telewave TWPC-0412-1 is a 12" diameter, ¼-wavelength bandpass cavity filter with high selectivity that rejects all frequencies outside of a narrow pass band. These cavities are effective at reducing transmitter sideband noise and protecting receivers against desensitization.
Both the TWPC and TWNC-0412-1 cover 40-50 MHz, and their tuning range is approximately ±2.5 MHz from the center frequency when built. These cavities have calibrated adjustable coupling for easy insertion loss setting, which ranges from 0.5 dB to 2 dB or more with corresponding increases in selectivity. This makes it possible to optimize cavity response for different operating environments. The 0412-2 dual pass cavity filter provides greater selectivity for densely populated sites, while multiple cavities can provide a wider passband or notch when needed. All multiple-cavity filters come with mounting rails.
The cavities achieve excellent frequency stability through the use of a specially machined compensator and Invar rod, ensuring temperature stability from -30°C to +70°C. Telewave Ground Loop technology places the center conductor of each coupling loop at DC ground potential to protect against lightning and reduce noise. Heavy-duty materials are used throughout the cavity to ensure high performance and long life, with cavity top plates machined from ¼-inch aluminum and heliarc welded to the cavity body at the high current point for improved conductivity and strength. Rigid foam inserts support the tuner assembly for vertical or horizontal mounting, and similar metals and alodined aluminum prevent galvanic corrosion. Silver-plated tuners and beryllium copper finger stock provide non-corrosive, low-loss contact for reliable, long-term performance.
