The Telewave TWPC-3508-1 and TWPC-3508-2 are 8-inch diameter, quarter-wavelength high-Q bandpass cavity filters for 300–400 MHz, offering excellent selectivity. They suppress transmitter sideband noise and prevent receiver desensitization.
Factory-tuned to the specified frequency, these cavities require no initial adjustment. A positive locking mechanism enables fast field retuning if needed.
Adjustable coupling allows insertion loss to be set from 0.5 dB to 2 dB (or higher) for optimized selectivity. The TWPC-2208-2 provides greater selectivity with minimal loss at crowded sites. Multiple cavities can be combined for wider passbands; mounting rails are included for multi-cavity assemblies.
Temperature stability (-30°C to +70°C) is ensured by a machined Invar rod compensator. Telewave Ground Loop technology grounds each coupling loop at DC for lightning protection and noise reduction. Constructed from heavy-duty materials: ¼-inch aluminum top plates heliarc-welded to the body, silver-plated tuners, beryllium copper finger stock, and rigid foam supports for vertical or horizontal mounting. Alodined aluminum prevents galvanic corrosion. Power handling reaches 350 W (depending on insertion loss), delivering reliable long-term performance.
