Astron Corporation OVPR-12V Accessory Circuits will provide a hiccup recovery function to Astron's linear-regulated power supplies. These power supplies have superb overvoltage protection circuit that will clamp the voltage of their power supply to near 0 volts when the output has exceeded the pre-set maximum voltage. In most Astron power supplies, that point is near 15 VDC. The "crowbar" circuit that protects the power supply and its associated equipment is very fast and remains in protect-mode until either the 120 volt power has been dropped for a few seconds or the crowbar has been automatically reset by the OVPR-12V accessory circuit.
A simple four-wire connection allows you to install this auto-reset accessory yourself. Complete instructions are included with the circuit board that installs inside your power supply cabinet.
