Icom AH-6 Compact Automatic Antenna Tuner

The Icom AH-6 is a versatile, compact automatic antenna tuner designed as a single, comprehensive solution for portable, field, and base station operations. Engineered to handle up to 100 W of input power, it features dual antenna support with a convenient selector switch, allowing operators to easily connect either a standard 50 Ω antenna via an SO-239 connector or a traditional long-wire setup without needing multiple tuners.

Covering a wide frequency range from 1.8 MHz (160 m) to 50 MHz (6 m), the AH-6 enables efficient multiband operation across all major HF and 6 m bands. Tuning is fast and straightforward, taking just 2 to 3 seconds at the press of a button, while an integrated 200-channel memory stores previous matching settings for near-instant re-tuning in about one second. During the tuning process, an internal attenuator automatically reduces RF output to approximately 0.3 W to minimize interference with other stations on the band.

Built for seamless field deployment, the AH-6 shares the same compact footprint as the popular AH-4 and is roughly half the size and weight of the AH-730. External wiring connections allow for quick installation without removing the cover, while its IP54-rated, high-rigidity resin enclosure provides robust protection against weather, water, and salt spray. The unit comes complete with a 10-meter OPC-1465 control cable and a U-bolt mounting kit for convenient outdoor installation.
