The KVL125 accessory is used in conjunction with a computer, laptop, or PDA (a personal digital assistant such as smartphone or tablet) that runs a PC terminal emulation program. The computer or PDA serves strictly as a display and does not store key data.
The maximum number of keys that can be stored in the KVL125 is dependent on how many AES encryption keys are entered. (AES keys require more memory space than DES keys).
DES is no longer available for the F70/F1721 series radios (as of June 2018).
