VHF/GPS combination whip antenna for the 136-174 MHz range. This type of antenna consists of a long, thin metal rod, or "whip", that is wound with a helix of wire along its length. The helix acts as a loading coil, increasing the electrical length of the antenna and improving its performance at the lower end of the VHF range. Note XPR 3000 radios do not have GPS capability, but still use these antennas.
