High-performance features, repeater mode, 32 channel simplex/full-duplex base mode, flash memory, DSP-based tone decoding, PC Programmability, PC tuning, interface ports, test ports and programmable auxiliary ports make Kenwood's Systems utilizing the embedded TKR-740 receiver-exciter units the first choice for demanding industrial and public service applications.
The TKR-740 repeater occupies 1 RU and may be used as a 5W standalone low power station or as a driver for an external power amplifier. A conventional controller and a digital POCSAG paging transmitter are built into the TKR-740 repeater; paging terminal is not included.
Conventional station options include wireline remote control and external RF amplifiers with built-in T-R antenna switching for simplex operation. Trunking system options include external controllers for LTR applications; PassPort systems are available by individual quotation. A high performance 6 cavity BpBr duplexer is listed as an option; multichannel combining systems are quoted on an individual system basis. Power supply options include battery backup with integrated SmartCharger and Low Voltage Disconnect. Mounting options include 20 RU (42") and 40 RU (77") locking cabinets in addition to 17 RU (3') and 45 RU (7') open equipment racks. Amplifier choices include 50W and 110W options with a 2RU 40A switching power supply, or a 150W option with a 2RU 70A switching power supply. Custom configurations are also available.
