Kenwood is pleased to introduce NEXEDGE™ conventional and trunking technology featuring 6.25 kHz digital narrowband operation. NEXEDGE™ was designed to provide advanced communication solutions that meet the needs of private enterprise and public sectors today and in the future. NEXEDGE™ includes features such as FM Analog @ 25 and 12.5 kHz channels, NXDN™ digital @ 12.5 and 6.25 kHz channels, compliance with current frequency assignments, and NEXEDGE™ will easily convert to very narrow bandwidths in the future.

OPTIONS:
Station options include external amplifiers with built-in T/R antenna switching for simplex operation, wire line remote control, and power supply options such as integrated SmartCharger and Low Voltage Disconnect for battery backup applications. High performance 4 and 6 cavity BpBr duplexers are also listed, while multi-channel combining systems are quoted on an individual system basis.
Mounting options include 20 RU (42") and 40 RU (77") locking cabinets in addition to 17 RU (3') and 45 RU (7') open equipment racks.
Amplifier choices include 40W, 100W or 150W options.

Required trunking options include enabling of the NXR-800 trunking feature, plus system management software that includes a master USB key and activation file, which hold a license ID unique to each system. This system manager software permits a system administrator to change critical features and permissions. Secondary, restricted-level service keys that manage less critical system parameters are also available. Each trunking system requires an Ethernet switch at each site. Routers are optional for a single-site system but required for multi-site systems.
