The KVC-18 is a rapid rate vehicular drop-in DC charger for Kenwood portable radios with NiCad and NiMH batteries. It's rugged, heavy duty design is ideal for demanding public service and industrial vehicular applications where extended shifts and rural usage is common.
The KVC-18 is designed on a similar platform to the KVC-5 and comes complete with an adjustable-angle
steel bracket, status indicator lights and D.C. cable.

Pyramid SVR Vehicular Repeater Compatible: When the Repeat Enable Switch is
"On", the KVC-18 activates the vehicular repeater unit's "man-out" function when the
portable is removed. The KVC-18 then deactivates the function when the portable is
inserted.

KMC-25, KMC-26 Speaker Microphone Compatible: A portable can be inserted into
the KVC-18 while a speaker microphone is installed on the portable.

Rapid Charge (Red) LED: "On" when the portable radio is inserted and the battery is
in rapid charge mode. NiMH & NiCD only.

Trickle Charge (Green) LED: "On" when the battery is fully charged and the charger
is in the trickle charge mode.

Repeat Enable (Yellow) LED: "On" when the Repeat Enable switch is on and the
portable is removed; "Off" when the portable is inserted.
