Full Field Programmability Programming frequencies in the HX240 is so easy it can be done right in the field. And cloning capabilities let you reproduce the frequency programming of one HX240 in others quickly and simply in the field with a single cable.

Selectable Sleep Mode When Standard Communications  designed a periodic sleep mode for battery conservation on the HX240, they made it completely programmable. The sleep mode puts the HX240 on a low power idle in periods of low radio traffic, making your batteries last to their maximum potential.

DTMF Capability All 37 E.I.A. CTCSS tones are standard on the HX240 for full-scale tone capabilities without adding anything in size or weight. If you need DTMF capabilities, an optional DTMF keypad is available that matches the HX240’s compact size.

Programmable Time Out A stuck mic can be a real problem. The HX240’s programmable Time Out timer limits the length of transmission time from 30 seconds up to 8.5 minutes, clearing the channel. And the radio’s Busy Channel Lockout function stops you from transmitting on a channel already in use. With Standard’s microcomputer engineering, you don’t have to compromise on big features like these because of size.

All Channel Scan The HX240’s scan function allows you to monitor channels programmed in the radio. Scan function and channel number are easily visible on the large backlit LCD readout.
