Motorola Visar
Visar Portable Radio
(PL and Select 5)
The smallest full power, fully featured two-way radio
in the world. Visar is the smallest professional two-way radio produced
by Motorola. It's no larger than a deck of cards. In comparison,
any other radio is sure to seem cumbersome. Even though it's remarkably
compact, Visar has a full 5 watts RF power in VHF and up to 4 watts in
UHF. And it Incorporates all the advances In two-way radio technology
you'd expect from Motorola.
| Visar's complete communications capability
includes 16 conventional channels, with full band operation, as well as
selective calling and an emergency mode facility. It's even possible to
access standard telephone networks and mobile phones, with the appropriate
infrastructure.
Visar has been designed, manufactured and tested to out
perform every other radio on the market. In fact, its durability is guaranteed
by Motorola's Six Sigma quality standards.
Visar is designed for the highest levels of durability
and reliability. Like every other Motorola radio, it has been submitted
to the unique Motorola Accelerated Life Test , which simulates five years
of active use. |
Main Features
Full wideband operation Visar covers the full bandwidth,
136-174 MHz in VHF and 403-470 MHz in
UHF giving more flexibility than ever before.
Programmable channel spacing You can now operate
between systems with different channel bandwidths without having to change
the radio or compromise on performance.
Enhanced audio A built in noise cancelling microphone
reduces background noise to provide clear
intelligible transmissions.
Keypad Radio Features
Selective calling In the same way as a pager operates,
you can contact either specific groups or an individual by screening the
message from others in the system.
Incoming ID display A two digit ID appears in the
display to reveal who is calling you before you answer.
DTMF With the keypad models of Visar and an appropriate
infrastructure, it's possible to access telephone systems, thus creating
your own communication network between your fixed phones and mobile radio
users,

line consists of two radio models; the "A4" 16 mode standard model with
display and the "A7" 16 mode keypad model with display, All Visar PL models

There is no restriction on the number of unique decode
and encode codes (PL and DPL) that may be assigned in a radio. PL and DPL
codes can be mixed on a mode. Only standard EIA and Motorola codes are
supported by this product. |
