GPS Speaker Microphone
PRYME GPS-5100 Series GPS Speaker Microphone
The PRYME GPS Microphone is a revolutionary product that not only operates as a remote
speaker microphone, but also utilizes Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites to report
multi-programmed reports on the user’s position over any existing RF backbone. These
multiple reporting modes give the PRYME GPS microphone versatility that revolutionizes
personnel position location data. PRYME’s full featured microphone provides added
security, effi ciency, and is a life saving tool for organizations needing personal AVL.
The PRYME GPSMIC is a system that transmits GPS data through the
voice channel of the user’s radio system. Satellite GPS signals are received
through the internal GPS receiver and then sent through the voice channel
to the PRYME Base Station Unit with a built in modem of the GPSMIC. The
Base Station Unit interfaces with the radio system (repeater or base) and mapping
database server to deliver data through mapping software to the central dispatch center.
This system can be used with virtually any two-way radio and its system (trunked &
conventional) to provide real time locations of key personnel.
